About the event

Join local ceramic artist Margaret Parsons for this fun, relaxed and creative workshop to design a nature themed clay tile to take home.

The workshop will start with a walk to gather inspiration and sketch a design for your tile. You will then return to the visitor centre to roll out your clay and impress your deigns into the air dry clay. With help and guidance from Margaret, who will show you examples of her work and discuss how best to work with clay, you will have an air dry clay tile to take home to paint or keep as it is. You can see some of Margaret's work on her website.  This workshop is designed for beginners or budding artists who enjoy getting creative with nature as the inspiration.

The workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 6+. All children must be supervised by an adult.

The workshop will include a lunch break where you can purchase lunch from the cafe or bring your own packed lunch. The majority of the workshop will be held inside but please bring appropriate clothing to go for a short walk around the reserve.

Margaret will provide: sketch paper and pencils, air dry clay and stamps to use for your designs.

Please note that your booking is non-refundable and non-transferable and we run all our courses based on a minimum number of participants. Click here to see our full Terms and Conditions.
