About the event

This fused glass workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those returning to the craft after a break. No artistic background or experience is required as patterns, materials, equipment, and friendly, enthusiastic experienced tuition is provided. This is a fun and relaxed workshop to introduce you to the world of fused glass. In this workshop you will be creating a beach scene.

Please note that the pieces will need to be taken away to be fired by the tutor so will need to be collected from Carlton Marshes visitor centre the next week.

About the course artist:

Marilyn is a local stained-glass artist who has a studio in Oulton Broad. She has 15 years’ experience working with glass and teaching the craft to others.  With 22 years working as a plant scientist behind her, Marilyn’s love of the natural world around her overflows into her glasswork, creating scenes in beautiful shades and textures of glass, often featuring flowers, fungi and small creatures in her original projects.
