About the event

Spooktacular is back for 2024!

Family-friendly Halloween themed fun where you can explore the Nature Reserve by torchlight... AFTER DARK!

This event is suitable all the family and is not intended to be scary; just an evening of light-hearted, Halloween-themed family fun! During the event, you and your little monsters will have the opportunity to follow a one-way trail around the Nature Reserve and take part a number of self-led and guided spooky activities.

This event is held entirely outdoors, so please ensure you wrap up warm and wear shoes suitable for exploring the Nature Reserve. You will also need to bring a torch with you, as it will be very, very dark and you will be finding your own way along the trail.

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION:

To ensure the event runs smoothly you must book an arrival timeslot and arrive a minimum of five minutes before the allocated time you have chosen. These time slots are limited to 3 families at a time.  If you would like to attend with another family, you must book the same timeslot.

The trail takes about 45 minutes to complete, there is also an activity and craft in the yard please come early if you have a later ticket for the trail to take part in these other activities as they will close at 8.30pm.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to those who are late for their time slot. No admission without pre-booking.

CAR PARKING: Our overflow car park will be open on the evening. This is a short walk from the discovery room. Please allow five minutes for this journey if there is no space in the main car park. This car park is unlit, and you will require a torch. Our volunteers will be on hand to assist you.
