About the event
Artist and Creative Wellbeing Practitioner Rachel Wiles is returning to Carlton Marshes with a new workshop ‘Natures Brushes’.
Discover new ways to inject interesting and different marks in your artwork that is unique to you with your newly created bespoke brushes and mark making tools. During a guided walk to reset your nervous system and calm down your mind, you will forage, gather and collect material. Rachel will demonstrate binding and grouping, looking at different sizes, shapes and textured brushes. Once created you will be able to ‘connect to your inner child’ and have the freedom to experiment using your own newly made brushes and tools using charcoal powder with spray, inks, and coloured washes on large sheets of paper to build a new repertoire of marks that are ‘of the land, and from the land’
Small group for person centred teaching to explore this creative process.
No experience necessary, all materials supplied. You will receive a complementary tea or coffee upon arrival.
