About the event
A gentle introduction to the ever-evolving tradition of oral storytelling with professional storyteller Justine de Mierre. Justine believes everyone is a storyteller, even if they don’t yet know it, and in this workshop, Justine will start you on the journey to finding your authentic storytelling voice and discovering what a great tale spinner you already are! The workshop includes exercises, expert tips, and skills, walking our stories in nature, and story sharing. Suitable for beginners or those who want to work on their practice. Justine has been a professional performer working with stories for over 25 years. Her storytelling workshops and performances have included schools, prisons, street performance, disability support projects and festivals (including Hay, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Folk East). She was previously Artistic Director of the East Anglian Storytelling Festival, and her international work includes the International Storytelling Festival in Marrakech and Story Seed festival in Timisoara, Romania. She runs regular online storytelling sessions with the World Storytelling Café. You can find out more about her storytelling work at www.sowhatsthestory.co.uk |
