About the event

We have a withy (willow) bed at Oulton Marshes that needs cutting back each year to ensure the willow is manageable and useable for crafts and structures. We're inviting you to come and help us manage the willow bed using tools to cut the willow back and then sorting the willow into bundles. Then enjoy the fruits of your labour and relax with some willow weaving to create decorations to take home (or any other willow creations you would like to make). 

Hot drinks will be provided during the day to keep you warm. 

This is suitable for adults that are active and are able to use tools such as secateurs, loppers and laplander folding saws. All equipment will be provided for you during the day. You will need to bring a packed lunch and outdoor appropriate clothing as there is limited shelter at Oulton Marshes.
