Engagement Volunteer
What you will be doing:
Suffolk Wildlife Trusts aims to have something for everyone, therefore we run a variety of engagement activities at our reserves including family activity/event days, activities for tots, teens, school holiday clubs and school visits. As an engagement volunteer your role will be varied and can involve helping the participants to complete tasks such as crafts, trails or finding invertebrate. The focus of our engagement work is to facilitate activities which help develop a feeling of connectivity to nature and a drive to take action for it.
To find out more about the types of activities we run have a look on our events page https://www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org/events
What we are looking for
· A good communicator, friendly and always willing to help
· An interest in wildlife. This role would require you to talk passionately about the reserve and the Trust to visitors
· A desire to work with a variety of people from toddlers to adults!
· You'll enjoy being in a busy environment, often standing for long periods inside the visitor centre and outside
· Someone who can volunteer during the school holidays and at weekends
