School visits to the Suffolk coast and rivers

A chance for pupils to get outdoors in the wilds of Suffolk's coastline or the beautiful River Deben, learning about wildlife and the environment as they go.

Suffolk has 49 miles of coastline with an additional 83 miles of tidal edge on the estuaries, therefore for many children, their nearest natural environment is the beach. Our coastal trips for schools extend from Felixstowe to Lowestoft, enabling children across the county to experience the coast in a new enlightening way whilst increasing their knowledge of these wild landscapes.

We also have a 'Ducking Down the Deben' session which takes children on journey following the River Deben from it's source at Debenham to the estuary at Bawdsey.

We had a fantastic day out. All the staff were warm, welcoming and enthusiastic about their activities. The setting was perfect- brought our mini-beast topic alive! We would love to come again.
