Suffolk Wildlife Trust is running an exciting new programme of courses for Communities this year.

The new Community Wildlife courses are designed to engage and inform community groups, parish councils and churches and provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge required to optimise their own land for the benefit of wildlife and to share their new-found expertise and experience with others throughout the county.

The courses are open for anyone actively involved in working for wildlife as part of a community group and are offered at a discounted rate, this year, of £10 per person.

Tuesday, June 20 - Community ponds for Wildlife, how to create and optimise the wildlife value of ponds.
Saturday, June 24 - Understanding your community's river, how your community can become champions for your local river.
Tuesday, July 18 - Community meadows, how to create, restore and manage community meadows.
Wednesday, July 26 - Churchyard management, discover how churchyards can be havens for wildlife and ways to help nature thrive.
Wednesday, September 20 - Understanding your community’s habitat, how to find the balance between different habitats on your site.
Saturday, September 23 - Community hedges for Wildlife, understanding and working with hedges.
Thursday, October 12 - Community Trees for Wildlife, discover different approaches to woodland creation and management.
