Explore the rewilded habitats of Foxburrow nature reserve and learn about the wildlife that lives, feeds, and breeds amongst amongst the landscape.
Foxburrow is a rich mosaic of wildlife habitats including ponds, woodlands, meadows and an old orchard alongside the cropped fields. The learning facilities are centred on the traditional farmyard and include the barn classroom, toilets, covered activity areas and wildlife garden.
We offer a range of different programmes to choose from that all reflect the landscape, habitats, species, and history of Foxburrow.
Invertebrates
Investigate the lives, life cycles and habitats of invertebrates on the reserve and learn about classification and how to observe animals closely. Pupils can use magnifiers and ID sheets to help them identify and categorise a range of invertebrates according to their characteristics.
