About the event
Towards the end of a winter's day, thousands of birds fly into the lakes to spend the night.
On Saturday 11th January, we are having a special event focusing on these birds that fly in to spend the night on the reserve.
There will be wildlife guides based around the blue trail to show you what is happening and to give a running commentary as the birds arrive.
Learn about the winter birds of Lackford with our family-friendly activities, and cosy up as we read a bedtime story for the kids in one of our hides.
Watch out for little egrets flying past, reed buntings flying into the reeds and thousands of gulls arriving on the sailing lake as they get ready for bed at Lackford lakes.
Join us from 3pm until dark, suitable for all ages. £5 per person - no need to book, just drop in at the Centre when you arrive.
