Your school visit to Ipswich's historic parks and green spaces
Ipswich is brimming with urban wildlife with a variety of beautiful and historic parks in the town, as well as many other wild spaces. From grasslands, heaths and reedbeds, to ancient woodland, estuaries and parks, Ipswich offers fantastic opportunities for pupils to discover the natural world on their doorstep.
Sessions are delivered in a wild space within walking distance to your school. We also deliver sessions on your school grounds.
We can accommodate up to three classes per day, delivering sessions to one class at a time, for a 1.5 hour session. Full day sessions for individual classes are also available. Price per pupil for 1.5 hour sessions are £2.75 and full day sessions are £5.00 per pupil.
Ratio requirement - For children aged two and under we require you to provide a ratio of 1 adult : 4 pupils. For children aged three and over we require a ratio of 1 adult : 8 pupils.

Invertebrates
An exciting way to investigate habitats, learn about classification and how to observe species closely.
Pupils can use magnifiers and ID sheets to help them identify and sort species according to observable characteristics, introducing them to the basics of classification.

An exciting way to investigate habitats, learn about the animals that live there, their homes, food, and how they are suited to their habitat. Take a close look at skulls, feathers skins and nests to discover more about animal classification.

Nature Connection
An exciting way to strengthen your connection with nature through a variety of activities, which will introduce pupils to this environment, whilst encouraging them to be resourceful, creative and aware of the beauty of nature.

Hedgehogs
An exciting way to learn about one of Ipswich's flagship urban species, hedgehogs. Pupils will investigate hedgehog habitats, learn how to identify hedgehog footprints and droppings, explore their skulls and spines, and learn about hibernation.
