The Big Green Fundraiser
Event details
Date
-About the event
Take Inspiration from the colour green this June, and raise vital funds for Suffolk Wildlife Trust and for nature and climate recovery.
How to join in!
This June we are encouraging you to come together as a workplace, team, community group, class, or even a group of family/friends, to hold your own ‘Big Green Fundraiser’ in support of nature in our county.
You choose how your fundraiser unfolds – however, if you are in need of some inspiration why not think about fundraising through:
- a ‘dress in green day’.
- a green inspired bake sale - think matcha cupcakes, pistachio cookies, or lime-flavoured desserts, yum! Or channel a whole new angle and sell only plant based goodies.
- a sponsored walk out in nature admiring the green all around us.
- an emerald raffle and a chance to win green prizes (just remember to check rules on running a raffle/lottery).
- a 'green fingers' plant sale.
- Tee’ing off on the green with a sponsored golf challenge or fundraising golf day.
- A ‘green tip’ auto donation on your cover charge (if you are a hospitality provider).
- Or even donating a % of profits (or an amount per item) for every green product sold during the month of June.
Rest assured you will be raising vital funds for our local charity.
The impact
Every penny raised will support our Mission 2030 campaign, to raise £1,000,000 over the next three years and to bring nature back in Suffolk.
Your generous fundraising could help us secure a bigger, better and more connected landscape through:
- managing our network of over 7,200 acres of nature reserves across Suffolk as vital havens for wildlife.
- working with Suffolk’s farmers to positively impact the 72% of our county used for agriculture.
- defending nature by encouraging wildlife friendly planning and advocating for ambitious biodiversity targets across Suffolk.
Every £250 raised could support 1-acre of precious reserve for an entire year!
Spread the word!
Don’t forget to tell us about your planned ‘Big Green Fundraiser’ so that we can share, like and comment! Every penny raised really is crucial as we approach 2030, and the tipping point for nature’s recovery. Please join us in our mission and together we can enjoy a green and nature abundant county, and leave a biodiverse legacy for the future.
