About the event

As part of National Nestbox Week, come and make a nestbox to encourage more birds to live in your garden and help us make a wilder Suffolk. We’ll have everything you need to make your nestbox and we’ll help guide you through the process.

This event is suitable for everyone; families and adults welcome.
No booking necessary, drop in 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm.

Please note we have a limited number of boxes and these will go out on a first-come first-served basis, please call ahead if you want to check availability before arrival.

If you prefer, you can collect a nestbox kit and take it away to make at home. We will supply details of how to make, site and maintain your nestbox as well as other information to help you make your outdoor space more wildlife friendly.

These boxes will be made using local, sustainable wood that has been felled and processed by the Greenways Countryside Project along with volunteers from Ipswich Wildlife Group.

We’d love to know where you put your nestbox and who used it. Share a photo and add to our interactive map.
