Discover the wonders of the Breckland habitat at the Heath by joining us at our community open day, in partnership with the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The day will host a range of activities suitable for adults and children. Delve into the world of the invertebrates with minibeast hunting, enjoy a stroll around the Nature Reserve with our Wardens, learn more about the Heath and how we manage the site to support Breckland species. There will also be the opportunity to discover how you can make a difference for wildlife at home.
FREE ACTIVITIES:
- river dipping at 11am (pre-booking required)
- guided walk at 1pm (pre-booking required)
- minibeast hunting (available all day; just turn up!)
- wildflower seed planting (available all day; just turn up!)
- games and more! (available all day; just turn up!)
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event has been kindly funded by the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Please note: car parking charges have been reinstated at Knettishall Heath. The carpark is managed by a separate company, and Suffolk Wildlife Trust will not be held accountable for any fines received should you not purchase a carparking ticket.
