About the event
Join Coddiwomplers Stuart and Emma, experienced willow makers, and create a willow obelisk for your garden.
Under the tuition of 2 experienced basket makers, you will learn some basic skills and techniques of willow weaving to create a willow obelisk for your garden. We’ll be incorporating freshly harvested willow grown locally by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust as well as basketry willow grown in Somerset.
If time allows we will also be creating fat ball holders , woven snails to decorate your obelisk or to place around your garden.
This course is suitable for beginners, so no previous experience is necessary. However, some manual dexterity and hand strength will be required. All materials are provided.
There is a café onsite where you can order a lunch, or bring a packed lunch. Teas and coffees will be upon arrival.
