About the event

The John Ward Trio make a welcome return to the Carlton Marshes Visitor Centre in Lowestoft with John’s acclaimed folk songs which draw on his life on the Suffolk coast and his wider travels in the world. The trio will be showcasing material from John’s forthcoming 10^th album, as well as familiar songs from their wide-ranging repertoire, including material that resonates with the ethos and nature that encompasses Carton Marshes.

With powerful 3-part harmonies, guitar, double bass, mandolin, accordion, and John’s show-stopping bodhran playing, the trio’s performances are authentic and heartfelt, and delight audiences across the UK and beyond. John and the trio have a long track record of supporting the SWT with their concerts. Come along for a fabulous night of great music, food and help to raise funds for the Trust.

Food choices will be a cold meat or vegetarian grazing board. Alcoholic and soft drinks will be available to purchase at this event.
