Event details
About the event
Suffolk is home to a variety of beautiful butterfly species, but it can sometimes be difficult to tell one from another. If this is the case for you then join Peter Maddison, Chair of Suffolk Butterfly Conservation, to learn about identification tips and tricks as well as generally learning about a variety of butterfly species and their importance.
The workshop will involve an introductory talk in our Discovery Room followed by lots of time walking around our nature reserve looking to practice those identification tips and tricks. Carlton Marshes is home to a range of butterfly species including orange tips, purple hairstreaks, peacocks, brimstones and wall browns.
An introductory tea and coffee will be provided then we have a cafe onsite to keep you hydrated for the rest of the day and to purchase lunch from.
Please bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for walking around the reserve.
