Lackford Lakes, Bury St Edmunds , Suffolk, IP28 6HXEvent details
About the event
During the day, you will learn how to identify visiting bird populations as well as resident birds in the varied habitats of this reserve. Renowned local birder, Paul Holness, will reveal some of the wonderful seasonal bird species that make Lackford Lakes their home in May.
Suitable for beginners/less experienced. Please bring binoculars if you have them although some will be available to borrow from the centre. Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable warm, weatherproof clothing and stout footwear as the majority of the time will be spent on the reserve listening to bird song and spotting the illusive avian visitors and residents around the lakes.
Teas & coffees will be provided and are included in the price. As the majority of the time will be spent out on the Reserve, please feel free to bring any extra drinks and snacks you may require when away from the Centre - although, delicious hot snacks and cakes are available at the Lackford Lakes cafe.
