About the event

The Whole Hog obstacle course and mud race takes place on Sunday 5th October 2025. This is one of the county’s most unique challenge events where fundraisers can tackle 30 obstacles over 5 miles or even stretch themselves to the ‘Boss Hog’ (40 obstacles over 7 miles).

This year we hope you will choose to use this event to put your best foot forward and take action for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, and for nature and climate, by fundraising on behalf of our local charity.  This event is open to ages 16+ only.

The Whole Hog takes place in beautiful Wantisden, Woodbridge, at Wantisden Hall – a stones throw from some much loved Suffolk Wildlife Trust nature reserves including Foxburrow Farm, Bromeswell Green and Hutchison’s Meadow

The Whole Hog events (organised by eightpointtwo) are great for teams and individuals and include running (or walking) around a course made up of a variety of challenging obstacles. They are hard work but a lot of fun, and usually last around 1 ½ to 3 hours (3 hours if you walk!).  You can expect to be crawling (under cargo nets), climbing (up steep banks and walls), wading through rivers (never swimming), tunnels, slides, jumps, swings and monkey bars.

Team Suffolk Wildlife Trust

If you are passionate about biodiversity, nature’s recovery and looking after our environment, and are keen to focus your fundraising efforts to support the work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust, right here in your county, we would love to have you on our Whole Hog 2025 team! Let’s get muddy for nature!

Please remember, the global clock is ticking as we rapidly approach 2025. We must secure 30% of land and sea for nature’s recovery, and here in Suffolk, the work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust is critical to our local success. It is only through donations and fundraising from supporters like you, that we can achieve our mission.

The Impact of Your Support

It costs an average of £250 a year to look after just one acre of our precious nature reserves, so every penny raised at this event is vital for taking care of the 7,200 acres we currently protect and for helping us reclaim more connected spaces to bring back nature in abundance.
