About the event

Celebrate the beauty of the Brecks at this exciting open day at Lackford Lakes.

You'll have the chance to learn about the bird species that call the lakes their home and how to identify them on a guided walk. Bring your family and enjoy a range of activities, including exploring the world of invertebrates through a microscopic view. You can also learn about our volunteering opportunities and discover how you can make a positive impact on nature in your local community and at home.

- guided bird walk at 10.30am (must be booked) kindly funded by the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
- minibeast hunting and viewing under the microscopes
- wooden tag pledge making

- Optional hedgehog home making (seperate from funding- charged at £12 per house)
